Why Buy American?

The waterworks section of the ARRA has a strong “Buy American” clause for a number of reasons. In addition to ensuring that American tax dollars are staying with American companies and, thus, American workers, the “Buy American” clause protects our environment and natural resources by guaranteeing that ARRA-funded projects use materials manufactured in state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly facilities.
